Head of GR

The employee’s task would be to do lobbying work for the company with Russian federal and regional authorities as well as selected NGOs and other stakeholders with the goal to create a beneficial regulatory environment for the company’s business as well as to support company’s projects and to contribute to problem-solving.  The candidate would perform this task both, by own direct communication to relevant stakeholders as well as ensuring support for the Head of the COMPANY Representative Office Moscow (head of the function).  


Duties:  

  • Agenda setting and strategy development for Public Policy related issues  
  • To ensure the quality of function performance (quality gatekeeping)  
  • To interact with other departments of the COMPANY Corporate Public Policy team  
  • To maintain working and high-level contacts with external and internal stakeholders  
  • To coordinate the interaction with authorities related to projects and events  
  • To coordinate the interaction with authorities in operational matters (inter alia, alcohol licensing and declaration, other licensing, control and supervisory activities of state bodies, goods labelling and other issues.)  
  • To coordinate special projects in liaison with authorities and/or participate in such projects  
  • To manage the company's memberships in NGOs and public-private bodies  
  • Prepare presentations, briefings, letters and other documents necessary  
  • Deliver public speeches, engage in discussions and / or negotiations with stakeholders at working or high level  
  • To carry out other tasks at the assignments of the COMPANY RepOffice  
  • Planning & budgeting  
  • Managing the GR department personnel (currently 2 FTEs).  


Requirements: 

  • work experience of at least 8 to 10 years, best in international companies operating in Russia good command of English is a must profound understanding of the structure and decision-making processes in federal and regional state bodies  
  • ability to recognize business-relevant political and regulatory topics, chances and risks
  • a well-structured way of thinking, analytical capabilities  an academic background in law, politics, international studies or other relevant disciplines is a preference  high service and quality standards  
  • proactive approach to handling GR related issues  
  • confident appearance  
  • ability to clear and concise communication, all oral and written, public and private  
  • good skills in negotiations, personal communication, building up and maintaining contacts and networks  
  • motivation to self-development, gaining new experience, embrace new topics  ability to plan and organize own work as well as to manage subordinates  
  • intercultural communication capacities  
  • ability to work in a multi-stakeholder and multi-tasking environment  strong common sense
